Premiered on Lifestyle Channel (Foxtel, Austar) Saturday 21 August at 6.00pm Saturday 21 August at 6.00pm At just 19, Evie Rankmore was devastated at her diagnosis of diabetes, just one short year after her mother died of complications from the disease at the young age of 42. Originally finding the condition very hard to manage, more than a decade later, Evie is an actor, singer and support councillor for Aboriginal families in crisis and has learnt to manage her diabetes well with Accu-Chek. But now she is pregnant, and knows she has to keep as healthy as possible, for her health and the health of her baby. Evie draws inspiration from her idol, singer Jimmy Little, who developed diabetes following a kidney transplant but went on to work with local communities to help them fight off the diabetes epidemic.
